Sally Collins
I taught American History at WTW from Spring, 1972 until May, 1979. I also sponsored the Cheerleaders from 1974 until 1979. After I left WTW, I kept up with many teachers and students and saw them over the years. I taught History at Brookhaven College for 5 years and went back to UNT in 1994 to get a Masters degree in Library Science. For the past 10 years I have been librarian at McCulloch Intermediate and now Highland Park Middle School. I have lived in the same house in University Park for 28 years. My husband, Mallory, and I have been married for 35 years. Our daughter Erin is married to Ty Farquhar and just had her second child, Katie, on Monday, Sept. 19. They also have Mason who is 2. Erin and Ty played together when they were preschoolers and reconnected at Texas A & M. They married in 2000 when Erin grduated. Our son, Alex, is a freshman at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches. I am now teaching the children of several students I had at WTW. It's fun to see them. I plan on coming to the day festivities at WTW Saturday.
